Solán de Cabras Lemon
1 tablespoon Sugar
6 basil Leaves
5 slices of cucumber
3 star anise seeds
In a cocktail shaker, served in a tall glass.
Add the basil leaves, cucumber slices, star anise seeds and sugar into a cocktail shaker and grind with a pestle to bring out their aromas, then pour in the Solán de Cabras Lemon.
Shake vigorously until the mixture is cold and serve in a tall glass, straining twice. Lastly, decorate with a basil stem. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can use a large jar.
In July 2008, barman Jörg Meyer from the Bar Le Lion in Hamburg, Germany, created the well-known Gin Basil Smash, a cocktail with balsamic hints and extremely refreshing. We took this to our turf and created a non-alcoholic remake.
