The following are 10 healthy foods. Keeping these foods in mind, and including them in our gastronomy, will help us lead a much healthier life.
Cabbage: Charged with nutrients such as sulforaphane, a chemical substance which fights cancer enzymes.
Swiss chard: a green leaf vegetable with a high content of carotene which protects the eyes from ageing.
Cinnamon: Can help control the blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Contains many beneficial properties for our health.
Pomegranate juice: Help lower blood pressure and is chock-full of antioxidants.
Prunes: Full of antioxidants, help with intestinal function.
Pumpkin seeds: The most nutritious part of the pumpkin which, having loads of magnesium, are associated to a lesser risk of premature death.
Sardines: Have a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, are practically free of mercury and contribute a lot of calcium. They also contain iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper and manganese, as well as a complete range of vitamins from the B group.
Turmeric: The star of all spices, with anti-inflammatory properties and great for fighting cancer.
